Top picnic locations for your hen party in Barcelona!

Are you are organising a hen party in Barcelona or you want to have a stylish activity for your birthday? A picnic with Straws 'n Berries is the perfect activity and we would like to share with you some spots in Barcelona where you can have a nice picnic this summer.

As Barcelona is by the seaside, the beach is a very obvious and great choice, however it gets veryyy busy and hot over the summer. So when having a picnic on the beach choose a spot where there is some shade, and don’t go out in peak hours, because then you might be better of having a floating picnic as everyone will be dipping themselves in the aqua.

There are also some great spots close to the beach, you still get the beach vibes and salty air, but it’s a little less hectic and less sandy ;). One of the places we love is the pier next to the port, Moll de Gregal, there are some stone table sit spaces where you can sit and enjoy the view of the seaside from above. It’s not very private in the summer as there are a few restaurants around though. SUNRISE is the perfect timing to be there.. Might be early but there is nothing more romantic than watching the sunrise together overlooking the sea and eating a croissant… Maybe pop on that wedding ring while you're at it!

Parks! Yes picnic in the park is the most obvious choice anywhere you go! However Barcelona isn't a very parky city… But of course there are still lots of green picnic locations. Even Though Park Cuitadella is pretty busy, there are still lots of lovely spots where you can lay down your blanket and nibble away. The good thing is that there are lots of shady spots and there will be more than enough entertainment with all the on goings!

Also next to the W hotel there are some nice bits of shady green, and not so many people (or dogs) so you can have a bit more time to yourself.

Lastly a very beautiful spot is the bunkers! Be prepared for a bit of a climb up if you come by public transport, but it is totally worth it! Also here it sometimes gets quite crowded but you will always be able to find a spot. And the views… holy moly!

The great thing about the bunkers is that sunrise and sunset are both breathtaking here.
